Local Rules

(See Appendix I)

GROUND UNDER REPAIR:

Defined by white lines 25-1. The hillside area to the right of the 6th green is deemed GUR and relief is mandatory.

 

DROP AREAS:

Optional Drop areas are available for balls coming to rest on the hillside to the right and when interference exists from the retaining wall behind the 6th green; relief from the cart path in front of #18 green and right side of #6. There is a white line on the cart paths to the right of the 6th green and in front of the 18th green, use the drop circle that is on the side of the line that your ball lies.   

 

COURSE BOUNDARIES:

Defined by white stakes, the inside edges of perimeter and maintenance yard fence posts at ground level. The driving range, all parking lots and the hillside to the right of cart path on the 6th and 7th hole are out of bounds.

 

WATER HAZARDS:

Yellow Stakes/Lines define Water Hazards. Red Stakes/Lines define Lateral Water Hazards.

 

EMBEDDED BALL - Relief allowed Through the Green

 

STAKED TREES:

Are deemed immovable obstructions. Relief under Rule 24-2 is granted from stakes, guide wires, tree and its tree well without penalty. 

 

PROTECTIVE SCREENS:

On the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 10th, 11th and 13th- Are immovable obstructions. Interference by growth adjacent to the screens does not constitute interference. Rule 24-2b (i). Line of sight relief granted on play of the 17th hole if you ball lies on the 18th tee side of the protective screen behind the 17th green. Relief must be taken within the drop circle provided near the front of the 18th tee.

 

SURFACED ROADS and PATHS:

Areas tying into artificially surfaced roads and paths and the two protective screens on the right of cart path on No. 17 are considered to be part of the cart path. Tan compacted surfaces leading to cart paths and walkways next to tees and greens are considered artificially surfaced.

 

DOUBT as to PROCEDURE:

If a rules official is not readily available, proceed under Rule 3-3

 

DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES:

Are allowed providing the device is not capable of measuring any other variables such as wind or elevation.

 

ACCIDENTAL MOVEMENT OF A BALL ON THE PUTTING GREEN:

Eliminates the penalty for all circumstances when a player, an opponent or either of their partners, caddies or equipment accidentally moves a ball or ball-marker on the putting green.

 

SPRINKLER HEAD RELIEF

In addition, if a ball lies through the green and an immovable obstructions on or within two club-lengths of the putting green and within two club-lengths of the ball intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may take relief: the ball must be lifted and dropped at the nearest point of where the ball lay that (a) is not nearer the hole, (b) avoids intervention and (c) is not in a hazard or on a putting green.
